Night at the Cultural Centre 2014: Ten Hours of Entertainment

On December 13th, 2014, one of the largest annual entertainment and educational events took place, organized by HSE not only for students and staff, but for all Muscovites, - Night at the HSE Cultural Centre.

The Night was organized by Ingroup CTC Student Club for the fourth consecutive time. Its slogan was ‘Out of Time’, and this was apt, since the guests were offered so many various entertainments that the ten hours just flew by.

 There was a Chamber of Horrors as well as a Game Zone with video games, both of which have become traditional for the event, and the opportunity to take part in a new Roomophobia quest game, where a team has to solve puzzles in order to get out from a looked room within a time limit.

Two projects were presented, HSE Press and High School Radio, internet communities aimed at helping students relax the night before an exam. Their audience today is about 10,000 subscribers. That night they went offline.

As HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov said in his speech, ‘HSE provides opportunities both for work and relaxation. At least one third or maybe even half of HSE students and staff regularly and actively participate in the university’s cultural events’, he added. ‘And it is great that our students share their creative ideas and, most importantly, realize them’.

The night finished with a movie, a concert, and songs accompanied by the guitar.
