Intellectual Capital to Be Discussed at HSE St. Petersburg
The 12th Annual International Workshop ‘Intangibles, Intellectual Capital and Extra-Financial Information’ will take place from September 22 – 23, 2016, at HSE’s campus in St. Petersburg. The workshop is being organized by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) in conjunction with HSE and the University of Ferrara. This event will be a new step in the long history of this forum, which is aimed at academic exchange of theoretical and empirical qualitative and quantitative research regarding intellectual capital.

The Mission of New Universities
On May 19-21, St. Petersburg hosted the third International Conference on Education and Global Cities: Horizons for the Contemporary University. The conference saw the participation of representatives from universities in Hong Kong, Torino, Newcastle, Beijing, Oslo, Brussels, and beyond. From May 24 – 25, 2016, HSE hosted an international human rights conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Russia’s accession to the Council of Europe. The conference entitled ‘Human Rights Education and Research in the Promotion of the Council of Europe Standards’ was organized by HSE (Department of Theory and History of Law), the Council of Europe, and the Presidential Council on the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC). The forum attracted Russian lawyers and professors involved in human rights studies, their colleagues in Europe, as well as officials and diplomats involved in Russia’s accession to and work in the Council of Europe.
