HSE University Celebrates Record Online Degree Graduates in Russia
In 2024, HSE's online programmes saw 544 students graduate with master's degrees in 12 different fields—from psychology to artificial intelligence. This is an unprecedented achievement for Russian universities offering online education. The graduates received their degree certificates at a solemn ceremony in Moscow.

An online course 'What is Generative AI?’ has been launched on the Open Education platform, which will help students learn more about how to properly communicate with neural networks so that they can perform tasks better. Daria Kasyanenko, an expert at the Continuing Education Centre and senior lecturer at the Big Data and Information Retrieval School at the Faculty of Computer Science, spoke about how generative AI works and how to create content with its help.

HSE University has launched a Bachelor's Programme in Global Digital Communications. This new online programme from the School of Communication gives students meta-skills, teaches them to communicate with artificial intelligence and set tasks for it, develops critical thinking, and inspires teamwork in launching creative projects. HSE University’s Online Campus Launches Courses on Three Partner Platforms
Open online courses from leading HSE University researchers are now available on the Russian platforms Lektorium and Edutoria and the Chinese platform XuetangX. HSE University’s online campus now offers more than 350 large-scale open online courses taken not only by HSE students and external attendees, but also by 15,000 online students from partner universities in Russia and other CIS countries.
HSE University at EdCrunch X: Online Campus Transforms Students’ and Teachers’ Perceptions
HSE University’s online campus took part in EdCrunch X, the anniversary global conference on digital technologies in education, in November. The event, under the slogan ‘Imagine a world where everyone has equal opportunities,’ brought together more than 3,000 in-person participants in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and more than 10,000 online listeners from 25 countries.
